I’m sitting on my back porch as I write this letter, smelling the charcoal in my grill getting hotter and pondering masculinity and all its connotations. Our youngest daughter just came outside and asked what we’re doing for dinner (on my cooking nights, it’s a bit last-minute and scattershot with the menu). Our five kids keep reminding me of a great Tom Paine quote: “If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.” In trying to build a better future for them, I have to keep reminding myself to be in the present and to try and model what I think a husband, father and businessman should embody for them. I, and you, can look to the men we speak with in this issue for guidance on all of those points I just mentioned. They model compassion, persistence, dedication, loyalty and passion for bettering the world around them. I’m humbled and honored to be able to tell a small part of their stories. As always, thank you for reading, and I hope you find inspiration in these pages.

Our Best to You and Yours,
