Carolina Holistic Health Celebrates One Year

Carolina Holistic Health will be celebrating its first birthday by hosting a party April 13 from noon to 4 p.m. All proceeds go to the Food Connection, an amazing local nonprofit that works in conjunction with local restaurants, schools and businesses to get unused food to soup kitchens and shelters that need it most. They will have Massage on Wheels on deck with free five-minute chair massages. And of course, local food, music and drinks.

Explore Asheville 101 Orientation

Explore Asheville will host a panel April 10 at 10 a.m., where all your business and account questions will be answered. Even if you just want to get acquainted with the Explore Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau, this will be a great place to start. Be sure to bring your questions! 27 College Place, Second Floor, Asheville

Asheville Do-Nut Thro-Down

Exactly as it sounds, the city will be gathering at the Masonic Lodge to judge Asheville’s best doughnuts. Although many places claiming this fame—including The Underground Café with DoughP Doughnuts, Vortex Doughnuts, Geraldine’s Bakery, City Bakery, The Rhu, All Day Darling Cafe, Mr. Bob’s Do-Nuts and HOLE—there can only be one winner. The competition will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11 at Stu Helm: Food Fan. You “do-nut” want to miss this one.
